The Food Donation Network aims to increase food donations in regional communities. By diverting food from landfills and into communities, the project will reduce methane emissions caused by food waste and will also help those in need. Using an empowering and locally driven approach, the project will engage charities and supermarkets to work together in sustaining a long-term food donation program. 

The project will reflect upon similar food donation programs and will target Eurobodalla Shire Council, Goulburn Mulwaree Council, Wingecarribee Shire Council, Snowy Monaro Regional Council, Snowy Valleys Council, Yass Valley Council, Hilltops Council and Upper Lachlan Shire Council.
