Halve Food Waste Challenge

Halve-Food-Waste-Challenge.png

The CRJO Halve Food Waste Challenge project will engage with 11 councils in our region, as well as retailers, clubs and institutions to improve knowledge about Food Waste. Governments at all levels and all around the world have set targets to halve food waste going to landfill. This project will assist local businesses to plan for and explore options to achieve greater diversion (or utilisation) of food waste.

The project will involve workshops and networking opportunities to enable greater knowledge sharing around the issue of food waste. Assistance for small scale improvements in food waste diversion or recycling will be available.

Businesses are encouraged to carry out a waste self-assessment using the Bin Trim app.
