About the Canberra Region

The Canberra Region is a unique and diverse geographic area that extends from the South-West Slopes, through the Sydney-Canberra Corridor, down to the Eurobodalla and Sapphire Coast, and up to the Snowy Mountains.

The CRJO region boasts a population of approximately 800,000 and covers an area of 91,400 km², including our associate members. The region supports a wide range of primary industries, including high-quality meats, fine wool, dairy, horticulture, fishing, and forestry.

Tourism plays a significant role across the region, while health, education, public administration, and construction are the main employment sectors in the ACT and Queanbeyan.
